Back on the Pony

It is a fire road - but it leads to greatness!

It is a fire road - but it leads to greatness!

And it hasn't bucked me off yet - I have had a few rides back since the old toe went south but none of them have been too serious, included in those few rides has been one to the Eldorado Loop; and wasn't that filled with a bag of dicks (Motorbike riders can get bent)!

Young Snowy (Tom) and I decided to see if we could get lost and find our way back again with the assistance of my new Garmin eTrex 35 (notice how its not a Garmin Edge or any other Strava/Fitness monitor...SALT). We hooned into the backside of the Warby Range State (or is it National) Park and discovered some new features and loops; including one that may or may not lead to a Brewery....!

Always a good time being in the middle of nowhere.

Then to follow that up Tom, Brett and myself legged it down to Bright and decided to ride some trails in that area; but first up was the grinding climb up Mystic Mountain Road.
That ride up to the top is an effort - I don't care how fit you are it is an effort for anyone; its totally worth it for the decent but it really does wear you down.

Brett is a legend of a bloke - jumps bigger BMX jumps than I dare to stand on top of! Punkah flow

Theres really not much more to report here - I'm back on the bike and slowly getting back into the slog feast - I am still testing my Giro Chambers (HUGE fan of these) and my Ergon grips and saddle (more on that in another post). Hopefully the boss man Troy has some epic, amazing, huge and exciting news to drop soon about a certain bike brand and a certain Pedal Power... all digits are crossed!!
